Overview

SAGA Innovations is dedicated to transforming American public education by driving the expansion of the nationally recognized innovation of high-dosage, intensive daily tutoring. To help us achieve our mission, SAGA Innovations is looking to hire Student Ambassadors on several campuses across the country. These Student Ambassadors will serve as recruiters on campus, helping to establish the SAGA brand and to identify the best candidates for the SAGA Fellowship.

The SAGA Fellows program is a full time, in-school professional math tutoring opportunity for seniors after college graduation. Unlike traditional tutoring that happens outside of school hours, SAGA tutoring occurs as a stand-alone class period and is built into the regular school day as an elective course for credit.

Responsibilities

Student Ambassadors will:

  • Communicate with students, professors, and faculty on campus about SAGA and the SAGA Fellowship
  • Support on-campus recruiting efforts at career fairs and promote on-campus events
  • Post flyers around campus centers, bulletin boards and high traffic areas
  • Use social media to increase awareness about SAGA and the SAGA Fellowship
  • Plan events, meetings and info sessions with students on campus
  • Develop an intensive on-campus outreach strategy unique to his/her campus
  • Post the SAGA Fellowship on job boards, at college career centers, and other sites

Time Commitment: This position is project-based, so the workload will vary each week. In general, Student Ambassadors are able to commit five to eight hours of work per week to SAGA, understanding that some weeks may be lighter and some weeks may be heavier. While we are looking for someone to work with us for the full semester, Student Ambassadors can ideally commit to the entire academic year.

Qualifications

Attributes:

    • Self-driven
    • Passionate about education and youth
    • Strong verbal and written communication skills
    • Sophomore or Junior at his/her university who is involved with campus clubs and organizations
    • Responsive to emails and phone calls
    • Enthusiastic, energetic and outgoing

  • Access to a car is not required, but a plus

Benefits:

  • $1,000 per semester
